Christmastime at Workwell Industries

December 27, 2016

The halls were decked and the mistletoe was hung with care… The weather may have not been in the mood to cooperate but it didn’t damper the Christmas spirit at Workwell Industries this year.

Wildwood Country Club played host to the 2016 Workwell Board and Administrative Christmas dinner on a windy December night. The club was decorated beautifully and the guest found themselves seated in a comfy room dining on a delicious dinner surrounded by wonderful company.

Brad Bird was presented with the Outstanding Board Member of the Year Award for his distinguished and steadfast support of Workwell Industries and its mission. We would like to take this opportunity to thank Brad for his many years of service. We look forward to a bright 2017 with Brad and the other wonderful individuals who serve on our Board of Directors.

Mike Taylor, Chairman of the Board, began an entertaining new tradition with his Santa bag full of White Elephant gifts. The game resulted in some highly sought-after scratch-off cards, an interesting pair of toe socks, and a belly load of laughs. Thanks for everyone who helped plan and participate.

A few weeks later, though the weather outside was frightful, the Workwell Productions Staff made their way out to the Flaget Retreat Center to celebrate the holiday season.  Though we may have started the night out short 1 DJ, with some resourceful A/V work we soon had the satisfying soundtrack of Motown Christmas pumping through the Flaget’s PA system and even had the UK v. UNC game projected on gymnasium wall!

Awards were given to employees celebrating landmark anniversaries with the company. Join us in congratulating these outstanding employees and their continued commitment to Workwell Industries…

Thanks to all staff members who braved the freezing rain and winter storm to come out and celebrate together. A special thanks go out to Masterson’s Catering for a fantastic dinner, Craig Scherman, UPS and Doris White… without you we couldn’t have made this night happen.

We at Workwell Industries would like to wish you and yours a Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and a Very Happy New year. Here’s to a great 2017!
